Moment in time openers always work.
But they are almost guaranteed to work when you pair a transformation with it.
And when you build authority by association, your numbers are guaranteed to spike up.
Which is exactly what I did with this hook.
Let’s break it down line by line:
“At 38, he was broke.”
Okay, nothing too fancy to see here.
A guy, who was broke when he was 38.
Then, you slap your reader with a banger of a transformation:
“At 41, he became known as the GODFATHER of advertising.”
WHOA!
See how I used a scroll stopping statement there?
‘How does a guy go from BROKE to GODFATHER in a particular field?’
Notice how I’ve capitalized the word GODFATHER to emphasize it’s impact?
This is how I’ve established credibility.
And now, for the home run.
