Platitudes, giveaways & easy wins to go viral on demand

Hey there!

Welcome back to Write With Kush.

If you're new here:

Each week, I break down the science behind great tweets and threads & simplify it for you, so you can use the same and start writing banger content for yourself.

Let's get started.

Tweet #1:

Why it worked

Platitudes work for a reason.

They usually drive the message home in a shorter format, strengthen your brand online and give a quick dopamine hit to the reader.

In this case, Kieran has often tweeted about solving problems for your audience as a starting point to building an audience or an online business.

He also hits one of the Maslow’s hierarchy by targeting their financial problems.

Everyone is looking for a bigger paycheck, but nobody wants to solve problems.

They just want to ride the wave of trends to grow their following quickly, without putting their brains into their content.

The Rewrite

Take out your journal, and braindump the problems you’re solving for your audience.

Pick one, steal the above template & write 5 tweets.

For example: Let’s say you’re write about audience building.

Here are some variations in this niche:

If you want a bigger audience, solve a bigger problem.

Let’s reverse it.

If you don’t want a bigger audience or a paycheck, don’t solve any problems.

Let’s take this up a notch.

Hot take:

You will never make money online if you don’t solve any problems.

You can take this in literally infinite directions.

Tweet #2:

Why it worked

The easiest way to get your reader’s attention is to give them hopes.

“You can be in the top 1%”

Who doesn’t want to be in the top 1%?

But everyone wants results fast, without putting in much effort.

Fernando cleverly solves both of these problems in the second line.

He promises the reader that they can be a part of the 1% in just 30 mins.

And they’ll get their true fans, leads etc.

See, if you want to win online, you need to promise & deliver a transformation for the reader.

Add to that a giveaway, and you’re guaranteed to go viral.

The Rewrite

What can you do a giveaway for?

What piece of content has done relatively well for you in the past 6 months?

Can you package it up into a PDF and do a giveaway?

Tweet #3:

Why it worked

Health & wellness content always does well.

It’s a universal niche.

In the thread above, Tobi starts off by sharing the consequence of the problem he’s trying to solve.

“Bad posture is crippling your health.”

Without wasting much time, he jumps right into the solution for solving that problem.

Short, crisp and easy to read.

Add to that the picture he attached, and boom! Double the engagement.

Ofcourse, you don’t HAVE to do a health & fitness thread.

But it’s an easy win, so it doesn’t hurt to do one every once in a while.

It doesn’t have to be health & fitness.

It can be:

  • Productivity

  • Focus

  • Walking

Literally anything that caters to a larger audience.

The Rewrite

Which self-improvement topic are you interested in the most?

For example: Let’s pick productivity.

What problems can you solve with productivity?

How can you solve those problems with productivity?

What mistakes people make with productivity?

Pick a topic, research and BAM! You have a banger thread ready in no time.

The Recap

Here’s what we learned today:

  • Platitude problem-solving

  • Repurpose your old content for a giveaway

  • Easy win topics to go viral on demand

And that’s it for today.

I’ll see you next week.

Cheers.
