The SECRET growth hack for explosive growth on LinkedIn..
Hey anon.
So, yesterday I completed 69 days of daily posting on LinkedIn.
And I’ve grown to over 800 followers since then.
You know what the biggest needle mover was?
It’s not content.
It’s not carousel.
It’s not my nudes.
It’s….
[cue drumroll 🥁🥁🥁…]
COMMENTS.
Yes.
I’ve been commenting like a madman every single day.
Upwards of 30-40 times per day.
And I know for a fact comments like “agreed”, “great post” don’t cut it.
So, how do you actually comment?
Glad you asked.
So, here are 4 tips that will make you a “commenting pro” and help you leave a killer first impression:
1. Share a Story That Sticks
You know what's better than a plain ol' comment?
A comment with a story.
Share a little slice of your life that's related to the post.
Think:
“What does this idea mean to me? Have I experienced this idea in my life?”
And you know what’s the best part of this?
It turns you into an infinite idea machine and can help you turn your comments into short-form or long-form posts.
Action Step: Next time you comment, throw in a quick story from your week. Keep it relevant to the idea of the post.
2. Share Your Perspective
Don't just agree or disagree.
Share your take on the post and why you think that way.
It's like adding a pinch of salt to a dish to bring out the flavors.
Your unique perspective can add depth to the conversation and get people thinking, which in turn leads to more engagement on the post.
Action Step: Pick a post and write a comment with your opinion. Think “What does this idea mean to me?”
3. Crack a Joke
Who doesn't love a good laugh?
A well-timed joke can make your comment unforgettable. But make sure it's in good taste and fits the author's vibe. You don't want to be that person who tells a knock-knock joke at a funeral, right?
Action Step: Next time you comment, try adding a light-hearted joke.
4. Ask a Question That Gets People Talking
Questions are like conversation starters at a party.
They get people talking. Ask something that shows you're interested and want to dive deeper into the topic. It's a great way to keep the ball rolling and make your comment stand out.
Action Step: Find a post that intrigues you and ask a thoughtful question. Watch as the conversation unfolds!
And there you have it!
Four pro moves to make your comments shine on LinkedIn.
I suggest doubling down on commenting if you want to grow fast.
Spend at least 30-60 minutes commenting on accounts you find interesting.
Give it a try and see how it goes.
And as always, reply to this email if you have any questions.
I’ll see you next time.
Cheers.
Kush.
