Success secret of a twitter creator with 184K+ audience
When I started writing online, I wrote about EVERYTHING under the sun.
You name it.
Productivity? Hell yeah.
Copywriting? Fuck yes.
Creativity? Oh yeah, give it to me.
(Sorry, couldn’t help it)
But, during that time, I had a hard time growing an audience.
Because I was writing to EVERYONE.
And you know damn well, writing to everyone is writing to NO ONE.
Let me give you a weird but effective example:
Wherever you live, go to the middle of the street.
Scream at the top of your voice..
“HEY!!”
Everyone’s going to stare at you.
[Awkward silence]
Don't just stand there now.
Don't make a fool of yourself.
Yell again.
“HEY GEORGE!!”
Boom.
All the George’s in the crowd have your attention.
I hope you get my point, I can't continue to ramble on about that story.
My point being, the more specific you get with who you’re writing to (& what you’re writing about), the more effective your writing is.
So, the lesson here?
Specificity is the key.
With your content
With your audience
With your niche
I regret being all over the place when I started and wish I could avoid it.
Always ask yourself this when you write:
”HOW CAN I BE MORE SPECIFIC?”
Double down on specificity until you can’t anymore.
It’s why one of my favourite sections in “High Impact Writing” is “Nail Your Niche”. This rule of specificity can be applied to your brand, content, niche, threads, and tweets.
This alone justifies the cost of the course.
It’s a course I wish I had, back when I started writing online.
Here’s the link if you’re interested.
And that’s it for today’s email.
The launch is will go on until tuesday, so expect more emails about the course in the coming day or two.
If you're not into it, ignore.
I’ll see you next time.
Cheers.
P.S: Kieran’s gonna kill the bonuses this Monday, so sign up now if you don’t want to miss out on those.
