The LinkedIn Gamble That Paid Off

When I started posting on LinkedIn in January 2024, I had exactly zero followers.

Nobody knew who I was. Nobody cared what I had to say.

Most "experts" told me to post 3-5 times per WEEK to avoid overwhelming my non-existent audience.

But I decided to try something different.

Instead of following the crowd, I committed to posting 2-3 times DAILY - a schedule that made most LinkedIn users raise their eyebrows.

"You'll burn out." "You'll annoy people." "Nobody wants that much content."

For the first few months, the growth was painfully slow. Some days I wondered if I was wasting my time posting into the void while everyone else seemed to grow faster with less effort.

By May, I had reached 1,000 followers. Not terrible, but hardly impressive for nearly five months of daily posting.

But I kept showing up. Day after day. Post after post. Comment after comment.

Today, almost a year after starting, I've built an audience of 5,614 followers who engage with my content daily.

The same people who questioned my "post too often" approach now ask how I did it.

Why Most People Fail on LinkedIn (And How to Fix It)

The social media world is filled with "experts" telling you to post 3-5 times per WEEK on LinkedIn for "optimal engagement."

This advice isn't merely wrong—it's keeping you invisible.

The real problem isn't that you need better content or fancier strategies. It's that you're not showing up consistently ENOUGH.

LinkedIn's algorithm, like all social platforms, doesn't care about occasional brilliance. It rewards consistent creators who build engagement patterns day after day.

When you post only a few times weekly, you're essentially resetting the algorithm's understanding of your content with each post. You never build momentum.

Meanwhile, those posting daily or multiple times daily are creating a steady signal the algorithm can recognize and reward.

This inconsistency is why most people plateau at a few hundred followers despite years on the platform.

The Boring Truth About LinkedIn Growth

Most people don't want to hear this: spectacular LinkedIn growth comes from spectacularly boring habits done consistently.

I know because I grew from 0 to 5,600+ followers in just 10 months.

I didn't use some secret formula. I didn't pay for promotion. I didn't even have particularly special content.

I simply:

  1. Posted 2-3 times DAILY instead of weekly

Think of posting like going to the gym. Would you expect results from going once a week? LinkedIn works the same way.

  2. Replied to EVERY single comment

Each comment is someone offering you their attention. Ignoring them is like someone waving at you and you pretending not to see them.

  3. Left thoughtful comments on 10-15 posts daily

This isn't just about visibility. It's about becoming part of conversations instead of simply broadcasting.

  4. Started genuine DM conversations

The real relationships happen in private messages, not public posts. Every client I've gained started as a simple conversation.

The people who struggle on LinkedIn aren't missing some magical strategy. They're missing consistency.

The 30-Day LinkedIn Challenge

Here's something actionable you can use today: pick ONE of these boring habits and do it every single day for 30 days straight.

No excuses. No days off. No "I'll do extra tomorrow."

The algorithms reward the consistent. The audience rewards the genuine. And the platform rewards those who give more than they take.

You don't need fancy tactics. You just need to show up when others don't.

And that’s it from my side.

Lmk if you have any questions about LinkedIn. I reply to every single email.

I’ll see you next time.

Cheers.
